These 35 songs work well on ukulele and contain chords suitable for those at the beginner level. Common Beginner Chords You really could choose any chord as your first ukulele chord, and learn them in any order, but many beginning ukulele players start with 1- and 2-finger chords, and with songs that contain just a few chords total, before.
I decided that I would like some more flexibility with my tenor ukulele, which is tuned to low G GCEA. [After looking, I found a string set that seem to be perfect.] (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Aquila-11U-Tenor-Ukulele-Nylgut-StringsLow-D-Tunig-Uke-String-Set-Wound-D-11u-/141147553717) It's a low D DGBE set for tenor. I plan to buy this set and a capo so I can switch to GCEA easily without having to change strings. Has anyone done this before? Does it work? Also, I would like to know if there are any strings that I could use as a high d on this tenor, for songs that don't work with drop D/ drop G tuning. EDIT: I would use the guitar for a different sound with the same fingerings.
At some point in the future, I would like to buy a tenor guitar and do the same thing.

Just got my Luna 8' concert Banjolele in the mail - while it's settling and tuning I'm looking for ideas for songs that would sound good on a Banjo uke! I've been playing uke for a few years now so it doesn't have to be anything overly simple - would like to avoid reverb-soaked Hey!s and the mumford strum, though.
As a banjo-uke newbie, though, is there anything else I need to know? Will this be safe hanging on the walls with my laminate ukulele or should I get it a case and a humidifier like my solid ukes?
